Ethos

Maximal novelty is for people who are tired of lies. Lies are repetitive and boring. Boring is the unforgivable sin. Truth is not the object. Rather, curiosity, discovery, kindness, mindfulness, embodiment, resonance, and a big one stolen from Alan Watts: the wisdom of insecurity. We don’t believe anything or claim to know anything. We have thoughts, ideas, ways of thinking. Beliefs stagnate and create bias, where there is belief, learning dies. If we must believe in something, we believe in you. We believe in goodness. Really, these are more values. Let us not desert our virtue in exchange for separation. Yet, lies, for the boring bullshit they represent, will face our vitriol. Where you find lies, you find harm to others. We’re not talking about white lies, this is not a moralistic framework. What is referenced is that which steals, murders, destroys and controls. The real enemy we all face is more vague than evil. It’s anti-conscienceless itself. That which cannot create, can only take and consume. Novelty requires consciousness. Maximizing novelty requires mythos. Mythos is not a noble lie, it’s not fake, because fun and joy are never disingenuous. Inspiration is more real than any theory. We condemn influence. We are not shy to speak out against what we despise. Though always, we stand for something every time we stand against something. What do we stand for? Telling a new story and never being boring.
